#SHIFTDavao: The Power of Social Media
It was an honor and privilege to be invited to become one of the speakers at the first and biggest social media conference in Mindanao, alongside the big names like Maria Ressa, Bianca Gonzales, and Atty. Yves Gonzales.
My talk was about how Travel, Photography and Social Media helped me achieve all the good that happened in my career. By sharing what I did and what I have accomplished, I want people to realize that it's just not all about earning money, getting a high-position white-collared job, or being successful in one's career. I wanted my audience to inhale and digest: life is about doing what makes you happy, maximizing each and every day, and then from there, you learn, you make yourself better, and eventually, you turn into that one person you are destined to become. That's life.
At the last part of my talk, I quoted: "Do one thing everyday that scares you." This is one of my favorite mantras, and I always try to apply this everyday. It doesn't matter how far or near you are from your goal. What's important is you are getting there. Little by little, one little step at a time, and it will take you to where you want to be.
